A public lecture on the history of African Americans in Davenport will start at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Rogalski Center, St. Ambrose University. The event has free admission and is open to the public.

Some of the topics scheduled to be covered include: Remembering the Negro Baseball League and baseball legend Gene Baker; African American alumni past and present at St. Ambrose; the 60th and 108th Colored Infantries; and Village of East Davenport, historic African American settlement.
