Sean Lee, a painter at XPAC packaging company in Milan and a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron No. 569, will serve his annual free Thanksgiving Day dinner for residents of Milan and surrounding communities from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 22 at the American Legion, 515 W. 1st Ave., Milan.

Lee says the annual holiday meal is a way to give something back to the Milan area.

He will cook 10 turkeys for the main course and serve them with the traditional Thanksgiving trimmings, including dressing, mashed potatoes, corn, salads and side dishes and pumpkin pie, plus chicken and noodles and lasagna. Lee purchases the items with money from his own pocket and receives some food and monetary donations from individuals. Friends and Legion members help with meal preparation and serving. The Milan American Legion donates use of the kitchen and meeting hall.

The meal will be served until 5 p.m. or until the food is gone. Everyone is welcome to attend.
