Life Fitness Center offers new classes

Bettendorf Parks & Recreation’s Life Fitness Center, 2222 Middle Road, Bettendorf, will host two new body-weight/suspension training classes this month. The TRX Resolution Circuit class uses specialty equipment like TRX, kettlebells, BOSU balls, battling ropes, agility ladders and hurdles, and medicine balls. This class will be held Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m., and Saturday at 7:45 a.m. Five-week sessions begin Jan. 15 and Feb. 19. Cost per session is $35 for one class/week, $55 for two classes/week and $75 for three classes/week (discount for LFC members). A punch card option is also available. Drop-in demo classes will be offered for $7 ($5 LFC member) at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, 5:45 a.m. Thursday and 7:45 a.m. Jan. 12.

RYPT stands for “Resistance, Yoga, Pilates Training.” This fusion fitness class blends yoga and pilates exercises with resistance training on the TRX suspension trainer. Classes will be held at 9 a.m. on Mondays from Jan. 14 to Feb. 11. The five-week session is $35 ($25 for LFC members). A free demo class will be offered at 9 a.m. Monday.

Both classes are recommended for intermediate and advanced fitness abilities.
