St. Ambrose University students reached out into their neighborhood Sunday — with rakes. The annual “Bee the Difference” day included more than 300 students working at 80 homes near their Davenport campus, mainly doing fall yard chores for neighbors. The

tradition started in 2006. This year’s Bee the Difference Day wraps up Ambrosians for Peace and Justice Hunger Week events. All services provided to the neighbors are free. If neighbors wanted to reward the students for their work, they were asked to donate canned food items that would be given to a local food pantry.
