Clinton police are investigating the death of a man who was struck and killed by a train Friday night on the north side of Clinton.
Clinton police and firefighters responded to the area of the 30th Avenue North boat ramp and the railroad tracks at 6:42 p.m. for a train accident involving a pedestrian, police said in a news release Saturday.
The man was found dead after being struck by the train, Sgt. Joel Wehde said in the release. The man’s identity is being withheld until relatives can be notified and the investigation completed.
The police department and Clinton County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.
