Members of the Moline Rotary Club have donated 370 mittens, scarves and hats to help keep children in the Moline School District warm during the winter months as part of the third annual Warm Hands from Kind Hearts initiative. The items will be donated to 10 Moline Elementary Schools for use by students who do not have warm weather attire or forget theirs at home. Moline Rotarians will deliver the collected items this week to the schools. The Moline Rotary Community Needs Committee identifies opportunities to impact residents in the Moline and Rock Island County area. Moline Rotary and its 130 members will mark its 100th anniversary of service to the community in 2014 by supporting numerous service projects in the Quad-Cities and through Rotary International.
