The droughts of 2012 and 2013 will be discussed from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at Nahant Marsh Education Center, 4220 Wapello Ave., Davenport. Ray Wolf, science and operations officer with the National Weather Service, will talk about how the recent droughts have affected the natural environment, agriculture and society. The presentation will showcase historical droughts of the 1930s and 1950s and include climate predictions for this summer. The forum costs $5, with proceeds to benefit Nahant Marsh.
