Here's the afternoon forecast from the National Weather Service.

We'll see increasing clouds and cold with a high near 6 degrees and wind-chill values as low as -10 degrees.

Light snow is expected across southeast Iowa, northeast Missouri and portions of west central Illinois late this afternoon and evening.

Accumulations of around one inch or less is expected. The evening commute for areas mainly southwest of a line from Cedar Rapids to Macomb could be impacted by slick and snow covered roads.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around -6 degrees and wind-chill values as low as -15 degrees.

Friday will be sunny and cold with a high near 7 degrees with wind-chill values as low as -15 degrees.
