DAVENPORT — A Mass of Christian Burial for Aloysius J. “Al” Roederer, 94, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 417 Main St., Davenport. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 until 4 p.m. at Koning Chapel at Ridgecrest Village, 4130 Northwest Blvd., Davenport. The Rosary will be prayed at 9 a.m. Friday at the church with additional visitation to follow until the time of the Mass.
Al passed away Monday, November 6, 2017, at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport.

Aloysius John Roederer was born on October 24, 1923, in Wilton Junction, Iowa, son of John and Elizabeth (Klassert) Roederer. Al served our country in the Army during World War II.
He was united in marriage to Mildred E. Angell on July 29, 1950, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Davenport. She preceded in him in death on December 1, 2010, after 60 years of marriage.
Al worked for Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company at the Riverside Generating Station. He retired in 1985 after 37 years of service.
He was a charter member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and a member of St. Anthony’s. Al and Mildred had a great love of traveling.
Memorials can be made to St. Anthony’s or Ridgecrest Village.
Al is survived by his “daughter” Lynn (Guy) Hudgins, Atlanta, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Remy, Knoxville, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Al was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Rosemary Sammon, Carl, Russ and Ray Roederer, and Rita Hogarty. May they rest in peace.
