COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Ann Figge Brawley died peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, after a long illness.
She was born in Davenport on May 16, 1936, the daughter of Vivian Otto and Elizabeth (Kahl) Figge.
She graduated from Newton College of the Sacred Heart in 1958. She was married to William H. Brawley on Oct. 18, 1962.
Ann enjoyed painting, photography and helping others in need. Ann was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed immensely the successes of each child and grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Brawley; and her brother, John Kahl Figge. Ann is survived by her sister, Marie Figge Wise, Houston; her brothers, James Kahl Figge, Ketchum, Idaho, and Thomas Kahl Figge, Denver; her daughter, Elizabeth Brawley Williams, Colorado Springs; and sons, Thomas Joseph Brawley, Hinesburg, Vt., William Damian Brawley, Hanover, N.H., and John Edward Brawley, Plymouth, Minn. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Matthew Williams, 22, John Williams, 19, Lauren Williams, 14, Katherine Williams, 9, Isabelle Brawley, 16, and Graham Brawley, 11.
A Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Colorado Springs, with viewing time at 9 a.m. Mountain View Funeral Home of Colorado Springs is in charge of arrangements in Colorado. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport, at a later date. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home of Davenport is in charge of arrangements in Iowa.
