MOLINE — Charles J. “Chuck” Ebert, 67, of Moline, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at his residence.

Private burial will be held at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, at a later date. There is no visitation. DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Chuck was born March 10, 1946, in Moline, the son of Charles A. and Regina C. Ebert. He had been employed as a manager at LaQuinta and other hotels in various states. He later worked at JMF Co., Bettendorf, for 15 years, retiring in 2008.

He enjoyed cooking, reading and hiking in the mountains, while working in Colorado. Chuck served his country in the Marines during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his sister, Regina (Gary) Anderson, Bettendorf; niece, Suzanne Bogart, Cambridge, Ill., and nephew, John Bogart, Moline. Online condolences may be sent to the family at
