DAVENPORT — Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Daniel C. Hansen, 53, a resident of Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until time of services Tuesday prior to Mass in the gathering space at church. Burial will take place in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., Davenport, assisted the family with arrangements. Dan passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at his home in Davenport.

Daniel Charles Hansen was born on Aug. 14, 1960, in Davenport, a son of Bernie and Joanne (Dickinson) Hansen. He had been married to Dolores “Loree” Lopez on Aug. 20, 1988. Dan graduated from West High School, where he excelled athletically in baseball as a pitcher, earning an invitation to attend training camp with the Cincinnati Reds. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed the outdoors, especially if it involved his children’s sports events. He was also an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers and Kansas City Chiefs fan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund for his children.

He is survived by his children, Dylan and Delanee; parents, Bernie and Joanne Hansen; and his siblings, Diane Hansen, Greg (Sandi) Hansen and Dave (Julia) Hansen, all of Davenport; as well as his friend, Trisha DeLong, Davenport; and numerous loving extended family and friends.
