BURLINGTON — Memorial services to celebrate the life of David Cahill Rowell, 42, a resident of Burlington, formerly of Davenport, will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., Davenport. Keeping with David’s wishes, the rite of cremation was accorded. The family will greet friends 4-6 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service time at the funeral home. David passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at his home in Burlington.

David Charles Cahill was born Dec. 3, 1970, in Arcadia, Fla., the son of Charles and Patricia (Jones) Cahill. He served proudly in the U. S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his four children, Zackary and Sarah, both of Davenport, and David Jr. and Devon, both of Geneseo, Ill.; his sister, Theresa Howe, and niece, Cailyn Crossland of Kingston, Wash.; and uncles and aunts, Michael (Chin) Jones, St. Joseph, Mo., Diane (Jim) Hinds and MaryAnn Ryder of Bettendorf, Louise (George) Stiehl, Huntsville, Ala., and Patti (Mark) Shinn, Coal Valley; numerous cousins, and grandchildren, Trenton, Miguel and Ameliah.
