PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. — Edward R. Ruffin of Port Washington, Wis., formerly of Bettendorf, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 1, 2017, at his residence. He was 75 years old.

Ed was born in Matthews, Mo., on March 20, 1942, son of Ronald Ruffin and Stella Cates Ruffin. He grew up in Bettendorf, graduating from Bettendorf High School with the class of 1959. After graduating, Ed began working at Sieg Auto Parts until his enlistment in the United States Air Force in 1966. He served his country until his honorable discharge in 1970.
