MOLINE -- Francis M. "Frank" Pinault, 53, of Moline, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Trinity Rock Island.

Francis was born November 17, 1959, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, a son of Dr. William N. and Dorothy A. Muldrew Pinault.

He had been employed as a chef at several local restaurants.

Frank was a 1978 graduate of Alleman High School and the Johnson & Wales Culinary School, Providence, Rhode Island.

He loved cooking, especially baking in his home for family and friends. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and science fiction, especially Dr. Who.

Survivors include sisters, Antoinette Lambert (Jon), Moline, Michele Pinault, Cranston, Rhode Island, Stephanie Flanagan, Pawtucket, and Josette Hudnut, Fort Madison, Iowa; brothers, William (Faith), Davenport, Vincent (Lynda), Richmond Hill, Ga., Thomas, Lauderdale, Minn., John, Princeton, and Daniel (Deb), Spring Park, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering in memory of Frank will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to a local food bank or the American Cancer Society
