RICHMOND, Mo. — Gail Elizabeth Stolnacke went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2017, at Shirkey nursing home in Richmond, Mo. Gail grew up in Geneseo, Ill. Her parents Raymond H and Florance E (Wiese) Miller.
She first married George S. Purcell of Moline. He preceded her in death. She later married Carl Stolnacke of Moline, He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Pam Purcell Britton and her husband, Bob, of Rock Island, Paula Purcell and her husband, Bill, of Richmond, Mo., Janes Purcell of Milwaukee, Wis., and David Purcell of Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, and one sister-in-law, Lyle and Joyce Miller of Geneseo, Ill., and Zkendell Miller of Chico, Calif.; six grandchildren Julia, James, Jennifer, Jodie, Sarah and Patrick; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Gai was preceded in death by two grandsons, George Christopher Alan Purcell and ZBenjamin Garrett Purcell and one sister in law Bobette Miller.
Gail lovved her profession as a CNA where she helped countless people. She worked for 25 years in several hospitals in the Quad Cities. She was of the Luthern faith. Gail had lived in Richmond, MO. for the last 28 years. She enjoyed her apartment and her new friends. Gail’s wish was to hold her new great grand baby and to be with Jesus. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shirkey Hospice.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 6th at 2:00 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Inurnment will be in the Richmond Memorial Garden Cemetary.
