DAVENPORT – Graveside services for Gloria G. Millam, 87, a resident of Davenport, formerly of Dubuque and Bellevue, Iowa, will be 10:30 a.m. today at Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery, Bellevue, Iowa. Following her wishes, there will be no visitation. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Mrs. Millam died on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Gloria Cooper was born May 4, 1930, in Dubuque, Iowa, a daughter of Francis and Lucille M. (Jellison) Cooper. She was raised from a young age by her mother and stepfather, Joseph H. Klein Sr. She was united in marriage to Donald Clark on October 23, 1946. He preceded her in death. She then married Eldon “Doc” Millam on August 15, 1954. He also preceded her in death. Gloria had been a housewife and homemaker. She was also a master cook.
Memorials can be made to the Scott County Humane Society.
Survivors include her daughters, Kitty Mill, Colorado; Karen Jacquin, Silvis, Carol and Wayne West, Davenport; sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Laurie Millam, Davenport, Michael and Rosemary Millam, Colorado, James and Cindy Millam, Michigan, and Thomas “Toby” Millam, Davenport; brothers, Francis “Doc” and Barb Cooper, South Carolina, Joe and Lydia Klein, Bellevue, and Dean and Tori Klein, Illinois; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two sisters, Doris Berendes and Loreen Lunsford; brother, Bob Cooper; and significant other, Francis “Pat” Melroy, preceded her in death. May they rest in peace.
