EAST MOLINE - Howard M. Goldstein, 88, of East Moline, died Thursday, September 7, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Howard was born August 19, 1929, in Yonkers, New York. He was the youngest of three sons of Nathan and Fanny Goldstein. He moved to the Quad-Cities in the 1950s, where he met his loving wife, Mary. They were married 62 years.
Howard worked in retailing most of his adult life. In the '60s and '70s he managed Lords Jewelers in Moline. He retired from Samuels Jewelers. Howard had a great sense of humor and was well-liked by everyone who knew him.
Howard is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Nannette (Allen) Doetsch, Nevin (Alice), Nathan, Natalie Roberts and Norris (Christina); four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his brother, Edwin (Shirley).
Howard was preceded in death by his brother, Robert.
Memorials may be made to Humility of Mary Shelter in Davenport. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
