BETTENDORF — Johnathon M. “Johnny” Lorenzen, 28, a resident of Bettendorf, died peacefully, Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Johnny will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1506 Brown St., Bettendorf. Honoring his wishes, the rite of cremation has been accorded and inurnment will be with his father in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Clinton, a later date. His family will greet friends Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., Davenport; where there will be a prayer service for Johnny at 5:30 p.m.
Johnathon Melvin Lorenzen was born May 6, 1988, in Spencer, Iowa, to Thomas M. Lorenzen and Jane (Wisor) Lorenzen-Dietz. Johnny had worked at 11th Street Precinct as a bartender and manager. He enjoyed collecting coins but his greatest joy was “living life to the fullest” especially with his family or when the karaoke started. He loved being with his many friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Jane of Bettendorf; and his siblings, Chris (Kristie) Lorenzen, Bettendorf, Audra (Chris) Sieverding, Davenport, Katie Dietz and Joey Dietz, both of Bettendorf; grandmother, Bernadette Wisor, Camanche, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Christian, Max and Maya Lorenzen and Bayleigh Sieverding; his aunts and uncles, John “Jack” Wisor, Davenport, Julie (Tim) Roberts, Maryville, Tennessee, Jeff Wisor, Clinton, Steve (Mary) Wisor, Seattle, Washington, Kevin Wisor, Dallas, Texas, and Bernadette (Becky) Wisor, Winter Park, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandfather and grandparents. May they rest in peace.
