EAST MOLINE -- Memorial services for Jone S. Fanning Knapton, of East Moline, will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Private burial services were held at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad-City Chapter of Family Resource Domestic Violence Advocacy Program. Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. is handling arrangements. Jone Susan Fanning was born May 31, 1957, in Moline, the daughter of Delane and Beverly (Clemann) Fanning. She married Larry Knapton on April 10, 1982. She was a graduate of United Township High School and Marycrest College. She had worked as a SAP R/3 Administrator for KONE, Moline. She attended St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Jone enjoyed shopping, exercising, golfing, scuba diving, bicycling, traveling and watching her daughter, Nicole, bowl. Survivors include husband, Larry Knapton, of East Moline; her daughter, Nicole Knapton, of Ames, Iowa; mother, Beverly Fanning, of East Moline; sisters and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Joe Ashcraft, of East Moline, and Lisa and Stan Mickelson, of New Windsor, Ill.; brother and sister-in-law, Mitch and Sherry Fanning, of Moline; nieces and nephews, Joey and Brooke Ashcraft, Kenny, Kevin, Adam and Ali Mickelson and Nichole and William Brammer. She had many special friends, including Holley Huskey Sweat, Tammy Ward Bowman, Kathy Murchie and her club, "The Class of 1975 Dirty Dozen." She is preceded in death by her father. Jone was a caring and loving person and will be missed by all. May she rest in peace.
