JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Marilynn Jean Speer, 94, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Davenport passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, in Jacksonville. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Funeral services will be noon Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Runge Mortuary Chapel. She was born September 25, 1923, in Davenport, a daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Kauffman) Schellhorn. She was united in marriage to Edward J. Speer on July 31, 1943, in Davenport. He passed away January 1, 2003.
She was a selfless wife and mother who always put her family first and had a passion for travel.
She is survived by son, Edward (Monique) Speer, Odell, Ill.; daughter, Margaret (Dana) Curtin, Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Megan (Nate) Reynolds, Alison Lambdin, and three great-grandchildren, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; two step-grandchildren and five step- great grandchildren, all of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband.
