DAVENPORT — Mark Owen Tadlock, 53, of Davenport died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, Davenport.

A private family memorial service will be today at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Cremation will follow the donation of Mark’s eyes so that others may see. Memorials may be made to the Troops First Foundation, Jason’s Box or to a favorite charity.

Mark was born Sept. 23, 1959, in Ames, Iowa, son of Dr. Larry Owen Tadlock and JoAn Callen Tadlock. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1977. Mark married Theresa Sannipoli in 1983 in Moravia, Iowa.

He was a carpenter and most recently worked for J.D. Coussens Inc., Davenport.

Mark was a voracious reader. He loved campfires with his family and enjoyed canoe trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area with his father.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa, Arma, Kan.; son, Adam Owen (Kayla) Tadlock, Arma; step-granddaughter, MaKayLynn Tadlock, Arma; his parents, Dr. Larry and JoAn Tadlock, Rock Island; sisters, Larianne (Chuck) Richards, Davenport, Sherri (Craig) DeVrieze, East Moline, and Jann (Dan) Koert, Davenport; nephews, Dillon Behr, Ryan Proctor and Jesse Topping; niece, Sabrina Elfgen; and three great-nieces and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
