STOCKTON, Iowa - Mary Ann (Cronkleton) Paulsen, 87, of Stockton, Iowa passed away at home on Friday, September 15, 2017.
Funeral services and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church and Cemetery, Long Grove. Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mary Cronkleton was born February 24, 1930, in Allen’s Grove to Harry and Ursula (Halligan) Cronkleton. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in Davenport in 1947, attended Mount St. Claire College, and taught grades K-8 at Allen’s Grove.
Mary and Gerald Paulsen were married on February 12, 1949, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Davenport and enjoyed 66 years of marriage. They ran the family farm near Stockton, Iowa, for more than 50 years.
Mary is survived by her sister, Jane Cronkleton; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Cronkleton; children and their spouses, Barb and Bill Swanson, Omaha, Laurie McCauley, Omaha, Tom and Joann Paulsen, Brookfield Wisconsin, and Barb and Brad Wentworth, Round Rock Texas; her grandchildren and their spouses, Travis Paulsen and Sonja de Lemos, Adam and Anne Paulsen, Lindsey and Steve Weix, Matt Paulsen and Morgan Youngblood, Tom McCauley, and JP Dugan; four great-grandchildren Ava, Mya, Hans and Dasha Paulsen; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerry; her parents; her son, David; her brothers Howard, Jim, Joe, Tom and Larry; her in-laws, Clarence and Leona Paulsen; and her son-in-law, Bruce McCauley.
