SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. — Shirley A. Hamann, of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, was born on September 15, 1926, on the family farm in rural Walcott, Iowa, to the late Nels and Hilda (Stender) Steenholdt and passed away on November 11, 2017, at the age of 91. Shirley was united in marriage to Delmar L. Hamann on March 30, 1947, and they shared 69 happy years together. She was a member at Reformation Lutheran Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin, for more than 45 years, faithfully volunteering there in various ways throughout the years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, decorating and, more than anything, spending time with her two sons and grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her two sons, David (Kathy) and Bob (Cheryl); grandchildren, Matthew (Whitney), Casey, Joseph and Spencer (Cyndi); great-grandchildren, Caleb and Rhys; sister, Kay Goetsch; sister-in-law, Doris Hamann; and aunt, Evelyn Schlunsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Lois Schroder.
A memorial service of remembrance will be held at a future date. Burial will take place at Union Grove Veterans Cemetery, Wisconsin.
