DAVENPORT - Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Walter L. “Wally” Ehrat, 75, a resident of Davenport, will be 6 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., downtown Davenport. Graveside services and burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, in Cottonwood Cemetery, Hanna City, Illinois. The family will greet friends Thursday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the prayers at 6 p.m.
Walter died Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Bettendorf Health Care Center after an extended illness.
Walter L. Ehrat was born May 20, 1942, in Peoria, Illinois, a son of Walter F. and Pathana (Bowen) Ehrat. He graduated from Limestone Community High School, Peoria.
He was united in marriage to Aurelia “Lee” Pitogo on August 29, 1989. She survives him.
Walter retired as a maintenance supervisor at the former Davenport Bank Building. He had been there for over 40 years at the time he retired.
He was proud to have been in the Army Reserves.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Lee; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim Ehrat, Peoria, Walter (Ingrid) Ehrat and Christopher (Linda) Ehrat, all of Orangeville, California; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David. May they rest in peace.
