One person is dead and three injured after a head-on collision Monday on Illinois 82 in Henry County north of Geneseo, Ill.

The person who was killed was a passenger in one of the vehicles, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Department. The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. about a half-mile south of Illinois 92.

Both drivers and another person described as a passenger were taken by ambulance to Genesis Medical  Center, Illini Campus. The person who was killed was pronounced dead at the scene. Names are being withheld pending notification of family members.

No further information on the crash was available. It remains under investigation.

Add put your cigarette down, also. If you are smoking and talking on the phone at the same time it doesn't leave any hands for driving....not to mention the fact that most people who are driving and talking on the phone can't walk and chew gum at the same time.


2nd one didn't make it @ the hospital. another reminder (cause of this crash is still under investigation...) to pay attention out there, put your phone, burger, coffee down & focus on driving. also, maintain essentials on your car like tires, brakes, lights etc.


Please mention Todd Taulbee and Tom Biehler who drove up on the wreck and saved 3 of the 4 lives by pulling them out of the burning trucks
