Two Quad-City men who are accused of robbing a Davenport man in his home were caught Tuesday after a witness followed their car, police said.

Everett R. Robinson, 42, of East Moline and Marrell Barnes, 51, of Davenport were being held Wednesday in the Scott County Jail.

Each is charged with second-degree robbery, a Class C felony that is punishable by up to 10 years in prison upon conviction.

The robbery occurred about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday in an apartment in the 1900 block of West 3rd Street when the two men forced their way into the apartment, placed their hands on the victim and removed his wallet containing $295 from his back right pants pocket, according to arrest affidavits.

A witness who saw them leave the apartment and followed them in their vehicle identified them to police, the affidavits state.
