A Rock Island man is being held on $75,000 bond in Rock Island County Jail after he apparently shot himself after a disturbance at a Moline apartment building.

Brison Bea, 19, called police and reported being shot, according to Moline Police Sgt. Todd Noe. The incident happened about 11:12 p.m. Saturday outside 3627 Pine Ridge Court, Moline.

A Moline Fire Department crew took Bea to Trinity Moline, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Officers discovered that Bea apparently had shot himself during a disturbance outside the apartment building and left before they arrived.

Bea later was released from the hospital and was being held Sunday in jail to face charges of reckless aggravated discharge of a firearm, possession of stolen property (firearm) and not having a firearms owner identification card.
