Police serving a search warrant at a Moline home Tuesday afternoon found 30 live snakes, officials said.

The Quad-City Metropolitan Enforcement Group executed a search warrant at 2027 18th St. B about 2 p.m. During the course of the search warrant, about 30 live snakes were found inside the residence in violation of a Moline city ordinance, Moline police Lt. John Hitchcock said.

An investigation is being conducted into the ordinance violation by Moline animal control officers.
