MidAmerican Energy has restored power to most areas of the Illinois Quad-Cities.

Company spokesman Tim Grabinski said that before 10 p.m., a tree limb fell onto a primary wire knocking out power to 3,209 Illinois Quad-City customers. Of those, 2,735 were in East Moline, and another 411 were in Moline.

As of 10:23 p.m., power had been restored to those customers affected by the felled tree limb.

However, 156 customers in Rapids City were without power, and another 14 in Rock Island County are dark.

More than 3,200 Illinois Quad-City MidAmerican Energy customers are without power at this hour, the company is reporting.

Of those without power, 2,735 customers are in East Moline, and another 411 are in Moline. Rapids City is reporting 60 customers without power. There is one customer each in Rock Island, Rock Island County and Silvis without power.

All told, 3,209 customers of MidAmerican are dark.

MidAmerican Energy spokesman Tim Grabinski said crews are out searching for the problem.
