There is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 3 p.m. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible. Higher amounts are possible during thunderstorms. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a high near 86 degrees.

Heat index readings could approach the upper 90s to 100 degrees in south areas south of U.S. 30.

Tonight there is a 50 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly before midnight. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a low around 72 degrees. Southwest wind will be at 5-10 mph becoming west after midnight.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 82 degrees and a low round 59 degrees.
