Good afternoon, Quad-Cities. Here is your National Weather Service forecast.

This afternoon brings a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms after 3 p.m. with new rainfall amounts could be between a tenth of an inch and a quarter of an inch. The afternoon also could bring a record high to the area for this date. The forecast calls for a high of 71 degrees. If so, we’d break the old record of 69 degrees set in 1970.

The afternoon will be breezy with south winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

Tonight there is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms. Skies will be cloudy then gradually becoming partly cloudy with a low around 39 degrees. Northwest winds will  gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 55 degrees and a low around 28 degrees.
