During its annual meeting Wednesday, the Regional Development Authority adopted a new mission statement, elected new officers and board members and approved a memorial scholarship gift offer in honor of Ellis Kell, RDA President Matt Mendenhall announced in a news release.

The Regional Development Authority gift will be used to start an endowment at the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend to honor Kell’s legacy. The endowment can received additional gifts. The annual distributions will be used by the River Music Experience to provide opportunities for low income children and youth to take part in music lessons and other musical experiences.

The RDA also elected three new board members. The new members are A. J. Loss, Fran Maus, and Sean Moeller.

Elected officers are: Dana Wilkenson as chair, Marie Ziegler as vice chair, Brock Earnhardt as treasurer, Becky Bray as secretary, Cal Werner as governance chair, and Frank Clark as past chair.
