Sunny skies will prevail over the Q-C region today, but the high for the day only will reach the upper 70s.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 55 degrees. Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 10 mph.

The Mississippi River in the Quad-Cities crested at 17.96 feet on Sunday. The river level early this morning is now 17.88 feet. The National Weather Service is forecasting the Mississippi to fall to flood stage (15 feet) early Sunday.
