Paranormal research group Rock Island Paranormal will discuss its investigations and how they are conducted during the Community Connections series at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Bettendorf Public Library, 2950 Learning Campus Drive. The program is funded by the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library.

Community Connections is a monthly series through May focusing on local history, interest and people, and will include lectures, travelogues, music performances, films and other presentations. Upcoming programs include Christmas with the Ukulele Connection at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, a presentation on Native American archeological sites in Iowa with PhD candidate Addison Kimmel at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, and a showing of Fourth Wall Films’ documentary “Barn Raisers” at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22.
