The Henry County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate a rollover accident in which a 16-year-old girl was severely injured after she was ejected from a car.

The girl, whose name and condition were unavailable late Sunday, was hurt when the 1999 Chrysler Sebring she was driving crashed. Henry County Sheriff’s investigators said she was thrown as the car rolled.

The accident happened at 2:36 p.m. Friday at Western Cemetery Blacktop and 1800N in rural Orion. The car went off the roadway and rolled several times as it was northbound on Western Cemetery Blacktop, according to Henry County Sheriff James Padilla.

MedForce transported the girl to OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
