A Chadwick, Ill., teen was injured Friday when he was struck by a train in Milledgeville, police said.

The incident occurred at 7:15 p.m. at the edge of Millegeville.

Milledgeville police said Chance Casares, 15, was walking with two other juveniles on the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe railroad bridge over Elkhorn Creek. Casares was struck by the train, but the other two escaped harm.

Casares was taken to Sterling CGH hospital. He later was transferred to OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, Ill. His condition was not available Saturday night.
