Jean Chatzky, the on-air financial expert for NBC-TV's "Today" show will be the featured speaker at a Sept. 12 event in Bettendorf.
In her first Quad-City appearance, Chatzky's topic will be “Money Rules: How to Empower Your Dreams.” It begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center.
In addition to being the financial editor for "Today," Chatzky is an award-winning personal finance journalist, AARP’s personal finance ambassador, the host of "Money Matters with Jean Chatzky" on RLTV and a best-selling book author.

The event will include a one-hour financial speed learning course, followed by a cocktail hour and dinner before the keynote speech and a book signing.
The cost is $35 for members, $45 for nonmembers and $280 for advance table of eight.
