UPDATE: The tow-ban has been lifted.

EARLIER REPORT: The Iowa State Patrol reports that a tow ban is in affect in Cedar, Scott, Muscatine, Jackson, Clinton and Jones counties until further notice. This means no tow trucks can be called in by the public, towing can only be called in by police when necessary.

All other vehicles will be left until the road and weather conditions improve for the safety of everyone.
