University of Illinois Extension units across the state are celebrating a century of serving Illinois communities. In an effort to document the local history, the Henry, Mercer, Rock Island and Stark County Units are asking for county residents to share stories, photographs and more this fall.

The statewide celebration kicked off earlier this year and continues through the spring of 2014, which coincides with the 100-year anniversary of the signing of the Smith-Lever Act that established the Cooperative Extension Service.

To share your story, contact Becky Buckrop at University of Illinois Extension at bbuckrop@illinois.edu or call 309-756-9978.
