Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1303 and its Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion Post 200 will conduct Veterans Day services at 9 a.m. Sunday at Chippiannock Cemetery, 2901 12th St., Rock Island, and at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Monument in front of the Rock Island County Courthouse at the foot of the Centennial Bridge. P. J. Hymes Jr., Commander of VFW Post 1303 will give the Veterans Day address at both services. A 21-gun honors salute will be given by American Legion Post 200 and VFW Post 1303 members, and taps will be played by Ben McKay of Rock Island. Donna Hymes, president of the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 1303, will place a Buddy Poppy Wreath at each service.
