The Wapello School Board has selected two modified drawings as potential designs for a new wellness center for the district.
The board identified the two layouts during its regular meeting Monday, after reviewing four potential ideas presented by Mark Fisher of Metzger-Johnson Architects, Burlington.
The two designs varied in size from 3,600 to 4,000 square feet, with the cost ranging from $550,000 to $580,000. The board agreed to hold a special Nov. 28 meeting to review new designs Fisher will present with modifications requested by the board. At that meeting, the board also may be presented with financial information on paying for the addition.
The board also agreed to review guidelines for using the new wellness center but tabled any action until the Nov. 28 meeting.
In final action, the board:
• Received a report on efforts to create a Positive Behavior program in the high school.
