Davenport police officers will be recognized during a ceremony at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the community room at the Davenport Police Department.

Officers promoted will be:

James Garrard, from corporal to sergeant. Garrard is a

19- year veteran  and will be assigned to night shift in the patrol division and the K-9 Unit supervisor.

Seth Farley, from officer to corporal. Farley is a 51/2-year veteran  and will be assigned to night shift in the patrol Division.

Officer retirements:

Tim Brandenburg, after 23 years of service to the Davenport Police Department.

Charles Lee, after 34 years of service to the department.

Civilian staff hires:

Mona Varela was hired as a new police services generalist. She will be assigned to the records bureau.

Lindsey Ellison was hired as a new police services generalist. She will be assigned to the records Bureau.

New Volunteers in Police Services are Charles Lee, Brian Cady and Sara Palcynzski.

Military Service:

Jarrad Cockshoot has returned home after a year-long deployment with the U.S. Army Reserve. He will be assigned to the patrol division.
