Dr. Douglas Moard has been named the recipient of the 2018 Pleasant Valley Community School District Wall of Honor Award.
The Wall of Honor was established in 1999 to recognize distinguished alumni who have graduated from Pleasant Valley High School.
Moard graduated from PVHS in 1976. He is a family physician in Appleton, Wisconsin.
During his time at Pleasant Valley, Moard was involved in band, theater, tennis, wrestling, choir, and Letterman’s Club. He was awarded the Danforth Award, and was also selected for the Iowa All State Chorus.
He received a bachelor of arts in biology from Luther College in 1980 and graduated from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in 1984.
He completed his residency at Fox Valley Family Practice Residency in Appleton, from 1984-87, and was chief resident from 1988-89.
He joined Thedacare Physicians in 1987 and has practiced there ever since. He was Chief of Family Practice at Thedacare Hospitals in 1997-98 and has been Assistant Medical Director at Thedacare Physicians since 2005.
