Volunteer educators at the Windmill Cultural Center have been awarded a $750 grant from the D.S. Flikkema Foundation to assemble materials for school field trips and youth tours. The one-hour learning opportunities are offered April through October at 10 and 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. weekdays. The theme this year is “Wheels Around the World.” The stations will feature a science component “Gear Up,” an interactive story “Mailing May” and the use of wheels to explore the 10 European countries of the 23 windmills at the Windmill Cultural Center.
