This afternoon will be sunny with a high near 22 degrees and a low around 10 degrees. Wind chill values could be as low as zero.

Thursday there is an 80 percent chance of snow after 3 p.m. with new snow accumulation of one inch. A winter storm watch will be in effect from Thursday afternoon until Friday morning.

Areas of northeastern Missouri, southeastern Iowa and western Illinois will receive snow in the early afternoon. Travel will be hazardous because of poor visibility as well as ice- and snow-covered roads. The high will be near 27 degrees. East winds will gust as high as 25 mph.

Thursday night there is a 100 percent chance of snow. Total snow accumulation will be around 4-7 inches. The low will be around 24 degrees.
