The Western Illinois University Writing Center will host its spring 2017 Saturday Seminar 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 25, at the WIU-Quad Cities Writing Center and QC Complex 2216.

While seminars are open free to the public, registration is required.

The schedule includes:

• 9:45 a.m. – Muffins and coffee in the Writing Center

• 10 a.m. – "Conquering the Thesis Statement," facilitated by Kirsten Dillender, Writing Center consultant and teaching support assistant. The event will help participants learn to craft a thesis statement and hone writing skills.

• 11 a.m. – "Writing your Way into an Interview," facilitated by Laura Winton, Writing Center consultant and teaching support assistant. This seminar will help with writing a cover letter and will answer other career-related questions.
