The Midwest Writing Center and Center for Active Seniors Inc. in Davenport will offer the second installment of a seven-week creative writing course that aims to get attendees into a regularly writing practice through instruction, guest speakers, in-class writing and feedback. The class runs on seven consecutive Tuesdays from 9-10:30 a.m. starting Feb. 5 at CASI. The free class will focus on helping participants write their own stories and memories.

The sessions will be led by Jodie Toohey, owner and operator of Wordsy Woman Word Sales and Service writing and editing company. Attendees of this session or last fall’s course will be invited to submit work to an anthology to be published in late spring or early summer. For information, email Jodie@wordsywoman.com. To register, call CASI at 563-386-7477.
