Marvel Hanna

MOLINE - Services for Marvel M. Hanna, 92, of 226 39th St., will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bowelsburg Cemetery, Silvis.

Mrs. Hanna died Friday at Trinity Medical Center East, Moline.

Sullivan Phillips Mortuary, East Moline, is in charge of arrangements.

Marvel Lucas married Francis Hanna in 1921 in Cambridge, Ill. He died in 1975.

She was a member and past president of World War II Mothers and a member of East End Bolders Club, Moline.

Her hobbies included embroidery and quilting.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine "Sis" Mettome, Salt Lake City, Utah; a son, Warren "Buck" Hanna, East Moline; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Stanley Houldsworth, Moline; and Cleo Ely, Rantoul, Ill.

Inez Farrell

MOLINE - Inez M. Farrell, 68, of 1539 3rd St. E., Milan, formerly of Moline, died Saturday at her home after an extended illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Mon-day.

Inez Phillips married James E. Farrell in 1944 in East Moline. He died in 1981.

She retired in 1981 as manager at the former Howard Johnsons, Moline, after 10 years.

She enjoyed playing bingo, sewing and the riverboats.

A memorial fund has been established.

Survivors include daughters, Janice L. Oglesby, Bethel Park, Pa.; and Joyce A. Edwards, Moline; and sons, James A., Coal Valley; Jeffrey J., Moline; and Jason E., Milan; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Elvin Phillips, of Arizona; and special friends, Betty Stevens, Milan; and Betty Zelnio, Rock Island.
