MOLINE - Services for George R. Schinckel, 61, of 1908 23rd St., will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memo-rial Gardens, East Moline.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday.
Mr. Schinckel died Friday at his home.
He was employed as a custo-dian at Moline High School for 18 years until the time of his death. He previously was employed as a spray painter at the former Bear Manufacturing, Rock Island.
He married Patricia Fuller in 1962 in Rock Island.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Marcia (Mrs. Alex) Love, St. Marys, Ga., Frieda (Mrs. Donald) Luallen, Rock Island, and Amanda Schinckel, at home; Steven, at home, Jarrod, Rock Island; a granddaughter, Melinda, Moline; sisters, Lorriane Stover, Moline, Joanne Sellers, Rock Island, Erma Gottsch, Moline; and brothers, Emil, Moline, Marvin, Green Rock, Ill., Lawrence, East Moline, and Eugene, Anderson, Ind.
Ralph `Jack' Meils
MOLINE - Memorial services for Ralph "Jack" Meils, 68, of Moline, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, Ill. Burial will be in Min-onk Township Cemetery.
Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., Moline, is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Meils died Thursday at his home.
He was employed as a credit manager at Leath Furniture, Moline and Bloomington, Ill., for 30 years.
He served on the U.S.S. Iowa in the Navy during World War II.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk, and the Minonk Veterans of For-eign Wars.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the church.
Survivors include sisters, Ruth Clanin, Toluca, Ill., Doris Hershbarger, Champaign, Ill.; and brothers, Donald, Bradenton, Fla.; and 12 nieces and nephews.
MOLINE - Services for Myr-tle Barber, 82, of 1300 39th St., will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trimble Fu-neral Home, Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Mon-day.
Mrs. Barber died Friday at Illini Hospital, Silvis, Ill.
She was employed at the former International Harvester, Farmall Works, Rock Island. She later worked as a custodian at United Township High School, East Mo-line.
Myrtle Sorenson married Andrew Barber in 1929 in Clinton, Iowa. He died in 1973.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Pelletier, Moline; sons, Le-Roy and James, both of Moline; and one granddaughter.
